Invoice software without an account

No-account invoice software is software that lets you finish and send a real invoice before it asks who you are. Make the document first. Registration should arrive only when recovery or a second device is useful, after the product has earned the information it asks for.

01Before an account

The first invoice should not begin with registration

No-account invoice software should let you make a real document before asking for an email address. That means more than a preview: the client, lines, tax, terms and finished PDF should all work first.

Registration is friction at exactly the wrong moment. Somebody arriving from a search result usually has a document to send, not a software account to organize. If the invoice is held behind verification, the software is asking for trust before it has shown any value.

The Invoice Koi browser generator needs no account and uploads nothing. The app follows the same order. A new install opens into local books, and setting up and drafting work there; issuing needs a subscription, bought through your App Store or Google Play account rather than an Invoice Koi one. An account is offered for recovery, a second device and card payments, not as the door into the product.

An account should protect work you have chosen to keep, not stand between you and the first invoice.

No account also makes the exit easier to understand. The browser document becomes a PDF you save. The app can make a portable backup file containing the books and read that file into another install. Leaving does not depend on a forgotten password or a company still running a server.

02What an account is for

Recovery is useful after value exists

There are good reasons to create an account. They arrive after the first useful action: when a lost phone must not lose the books, when a second device needs the same business, or when you want clients to pay by card from the invoice.

That distinction makes a product easier to judge. Before an account, ask whether the core work is complete. After an account, ask exactly what is copied, how it is protected, and whether the local version still opens without a connection.

ASK THESE QUESTIONS
Can I make the first PDF?
Before registration
Does the trial need a card?
It should say clearly
What is copied to an account?
Books or attachments too
Does offline mode still work?
After signing in
Can I export everything?
Including the files
Can the export be restored?
Not just downloaded

A CSV is useful for rows. A full backup also needs the documents, settings and photographs that belong beside them.

Invoice Koi keeps the working copy on the phone. Signing in can carry the books to another device, and a subscription adds photograph backup. Neither changes the fact that the local copy is the one the app opens and edits.

03The privacy boundary

No account is not the same as no tracking

A product can skip registration and still measure every screen. The questions are separate: does it know who you are, and does it report what you do?

The Invoice Koi app has no in-app advertising. Its PostHog purchase funnel records only closed choices about the paywall, never client names, invoice numbers or figures. Builds configured for Meta separately measure app installs, activation and subscription conversions, subject to platform tracking permission and advertising-limit settings. The website asks before Google Analytics records reportable page and funnel events. The browser generator never sends the invoice fields to either system.

This boundary matters more for invoicing than it does for a blank notes app. Client names, addresses, rates and bank details belong to other people as well as to you. Autocapture is a poor default when a button label or screen title can contain one of them.

Try the generator with information you are comfortable using, save the PDF and inspect it. If you only need one document, stop there. If you want the next invoice to remember the client, rates and numbering, open Invoice Koi on your phone.

While you are here

Make the document first.

The generator runs in this browser and sends none of the invoice fields away. Save the PDF before deciding whether you need software that remembers the next one.
