Invoice Koi

Invoicing for pest control technicians

A pest job is almost never one visit. There is the survey, the treatment, the visit a fortnight later to see whether it worked, and the proofing that stops it coming back. Some of that is a one-off and some of it is a contract that runs all year, and both have to end up on a document the customer can read.

What pest control technicians
put on an invoice.

These go in your price book once, with your own prices against them. After that a line is one tap: the item, the description, the unit and the price fill themselves, and the totals resolve underneath.

02Why pest control technicians use it

Three things that
save the evening.

A contract that drafts itself

Set a quarterly schedule once and the invoice is waiting for you on the day it is due, with the lines already on it. You look at it and send it. Nothing goes to a customer without you pressing send.

Survey, treatment and proofing, kept apart

Group the lines under their own headings with their own subtotals, so a landlord can see what the treatment cost and what the proofing cost without ringing you to ask.

Bait and chemicals off the receipt

Photograph the receipt from the wholesaler and it is read into an expense: merchant, date, total and the tax inside it. If the customer is paying for it, put it straight back on their invoice as a line.

03 · Questions

Asked by pest control technicians.

How do I invoice a quarterly pest contract?

Set it up once as a recurring invoice on a quarterly cadence. A draft appears on the date you chose, carrying the client, the lines and your terms, and you send it when you are ready.

Can the follow-up visit go on the same invoice as the treatment?

Yes. Both are lines on one document, and they can sit under separate headings so the second visit is visible as its own item rather than buried in a single total.

Can I bill one landlord for several properties?

Yes. Group the lines by address on one invoice, or raise one invoice per property against the same client. The reports add them up either way.
