Day rates and hourly on the same book

A price-book line carries its own unit, so a day rate and an hourly rate live side by side and the right one goes on the right job without arithmetic.

A quote that survives the wait

The estimate keeps its lines, its client and its terms until it is accepted, then converts to the invoice. Nothing is retyped and nothing drifts in between.

Can I invoice by the day instead of the hour?

Yes. Each price-book line carries its own unit (days, hours, each, per job) and you keep as many of them as you need.

How do I show materials separately from labour?

Group the lines under headings with their own subtotals. Materials and labour read as two figures rather than as one number the customer has to take on trust.

Is there a free version?

Not for sending. Setting up your business and writing drafts are free; issuing invoices, estimates and receipts needs a subscription, an annual plan or a weekly one, with a free trial where your store offers one. Payments collected through Koi cost 0.35% with a subscription, or 0.7% + £0.10 without one, plus Stripe fees. Recording payments received elsewhere has no Koi fee.
