Invoice Koi

Invoicing for locksmiths

A locksmith is paid at the worst moment of somebody else's day, standing at a door they cannot open, often at two in the morning. That is exactly when a handwritten figure on a duplicate book reads as a number made up on the spot, and exactly when there is no time to go back to a desk and write it up properly.

What locksmiths
put on an invoice.

These go in your price book once, with your own prices against them. After that a line is one tap: the item, the description, the unit and the price fill themselves, and the totals resolve underneath.

Prices are yours. Invoice Koi ships a handful of round placeholder lines to start from and never fills your book with figures you did not set.

02Why locksmiths use it

Three things that
save the evening.

No signal on a doorstep at 2am

The whole invoice is written on the phone and the PDF is drawn on the phone. A basement car park with no bars changes nothing, and nothing waits on a server to catch up.

Two call-out rates, both already in it

Standard hours and out of hours live in the price book as separate lines with their own prices. You pick the one that applies rather than working it out at the door.

Handed over before you drive off

They sign it on your phone, and the PDF goes to them from your own phone by whatever they use: message, mail, whatever is to hand. Koi never sends anything to your customer itself.

03 · Questions

Asked by locksmiths.

Can it handle an out of hours call-out rate?

Yes. It is a separate price-book line rather than a calculation, so the night rate is the line you choose and the customer sees which one they were charged.

Can I invoice on the doorstep with no phone signal?

Yes, entirely. Every figure is worked out on the device and the PDF is drawn there too. The signal only matters when you decide to send it.

Can I bill an estate agent monthly instead of per visit?

Yes. Put the visits on one invoice as separate lines, or set a recurring invoice for a retained arrangement and add the extras before you send it.
